  • Blocking ads with Google Chrome - the one reason I didn't bother downloading Chrome before was because I couldn't see a way to avoid ads. Just testing this now. (Uses Privoxy.)
  • You can drag a tab from a Firefox window and drop it into a Chrome window, and it shows up perfectly. This rocks.
  • Will test & expand on this later, probably.

So wait - Google makes all its money on ads.

In fact, really, the web runs on ads.

And Google's new web browser offers a means to block them?

Does that fail to make sense to anyone else?

Well, it's probably more accurate to say that they can't stop you using Privoxy - which is a rather cool proxy server that knows not to pass ads along to the browser.
