The metabolism trap
Nov. 18th, 2004 02:37 pmHm. Eight hours without food == lethargy & generally feeling awful, with almost no inclination to do anything about it.
Tiredness & insomnia == eight hours lying awake, drifting, maybe drifting off for a few hours.
Trying to eat enough before going to bed that it'll tide me over == definitely no sleep.
Being organized enough to make sure there's something there that's got enough calories to work (300+, at a guess) and is effectively instant to prepare, with no actual work on my part (or it won't get done) == very hard, apparently.
And, of course, it all carries on through.
Isn't this fun.
