Lazyweb request: Websites
May. 7th, 2007 05:30 pmI've decided that I want a website of my own, in addition to the collection of Web 2.0 crap I've collected. (A more verbose explanation of reasons will be forthcoming later.) Nominet were quite helpful in explaining how things worked, but now I need to ask for a recommendation for domain name registry & web hosting. Disrecommendations would also be much appreciated, if anyone feels the need.
I want cheap & fairly reliable - I don't need massive amounts of storage or secure server access.
Thanks in advance!

http://davidgerard.co.uk/ and http://reddragdiva.co.uk/ are hosted on a friend's site in the US, http://www.wefixtech.co.uk/ - we're a typical mate's-rates-quality host, i.e. it mostly works and sometimes it doesn't. That's plenty good enough for me. Your mileage may vary.

Disclaimer: I get drunk with one of the owners from time to time, and he's currently stealing most of my West Wing DVDs, bit by bit.
