mirrorshardLike a lot of us, I have friends directly under Hurricane Ike - evacuating from staying put in Houston, and battened down in Fort Worth. The projections look like Houston's going to get hit by the western eye wall, more or less, and Fort Worth is likely to get severely battered by the rest of it. Ike's already done quite a few things he shouldn't have according to our normal understanding (hurricanes never get that far into the western Gulf) so we have NFI just what's going to happen. Even more so than normal.
For comparison, Katrina was a baby who'd just got hold of the good china. Ike is a 300lb farmer with a drunk on, and the bartender is taking down the whisky bottles.
