Dr Who, episode 2

It's too fast, too hurried. It was interesting, but it would've been more interesting stretched out over two-three episodes, with time for interaction between all the guests, rather than their just being scenery.

Character-wise, I'm getting more impressed with Rose than I was - in fact, more interested in seeing her develop than this Doctor. Partly, I suppose, that's because, well, he's the Doctor, after all. Though this new Doctor is hard-edged, surprisingly brutal at times, very defensive... and at the end of the episode, that's an interesting sign as to why.

I thought that too (about the defensiveness) I was wondering if I missed something - apparently there was an 'internet episode' a few years ago.

or maybe we're not supposed to find out til later. I like the new Doctor tho, I like the bluntess and the sudden mood switches and so on.
