Utopia Experiment

I'm now signed up to go off to the wilds of Scotland between July 23rd and August 7th, for an experiment in post-energy-crisis survivalism. I anticipate farm work, art, and cooking to be involved.

Very much so! They have yurts, and composting toilets, and solar panels.

Pretty much, yes. One of the journal entries on their site said something about holding at 10 people there at a time, but I don't know if that'll stay at that level. It's certainly isolated, up near Inverness.

Based on their site (www.utopiaexperiment.com)it looks really, really interesting! I hope you have a great time. Reminds me of my mother's boyf's stories from when he was part of the group that re-populated Scoraig in the '60s to create a self-sufficientish community. Must be something about the Scottish air!
